Front Porch Digital Expands Complete Broadcast Archive Infrastructure Solutions with Sun MicrosystemsDominant Broadcast Archive Management Vendors Offer New High-Performance SolutionsApril 21, 2006 Boulder, Colo. — April 21, 2006 — Front Porch Digital, the Media and Broadcast Division of Incentra Solutions (OTCBB:ICNS), today announced an aggressive expansion of its collaboration with Sun Microsystems, which has delivered complete archive infrastructure solutions to the world’s leading broadcasters. The two companies will offer bundled solutions featuring the next generation of Front Porch Digital’s DIVArchive archive management application integrated with new high-performance server, tape library, and disk technologies from Sun. These solutions will be on display at both the Front Porch Digital (SU2236) and Sun (SL3809) booths at the upcoming NAB2006 exhibition. Juan Dewar, Sun Vice President of Internet Services, Media and Entertainment, said, “Sun Microsystems with its StorageTek™ line of tape library products is integrated with Front Porch Digital technology at over 75 broadcast media companies across the globe. Together we manage most of the world’s largest broadcast archives, and our technologies have evolved in lock step to meet the growing needs of our media customers worldwide. We are very pleased to continue to work closely with Front Porch Digital to address the comprehensive storage and media asset management challenges of broadcasters and media distribution companies, especially those moving to high definition content.” In support of this initiative, Front Porch Digital has certified DIVArchive support for the Sun SolarisTM 10 operating system (OS) on AMD OpteronTM and Sun UltraSPARC® processor-powered Sun FireTM servers. Global broadcasters can now maximize the bandwidth throughput of data movement through the DIVArchive system within their broadcast operations. Front Porch has also fully qualified DIVArchive integration with the new Sun StorageTek T10000 enterprise tape drive, extending the value and performance delivered via StorageTek’s earlier T-Series drives. Delivering the industry’s highest native tape-drive throughput rate (120 megabytes/second), capacity of up to 500 gigabytes uncompressed or a terabyte of compressed data on a single cartridge, and Fibre Channel and FICON dual-port connectivity, the T10000 delivers a 250 percent increase in density and 400 percent increase in throughput speeds over the earlier StorageTek T9940B drive. “Front Porch Digital has always been the first broadcast archive management company to certify and deploy on the latest Sun technology, and by far, we have more joint installations worldwide than any of our competitors,” said Mike Knaisch, President of Front Porch Digital. “The strength of our integration is proven in the most demanding broadcast environments, and the new products from Sun allow us to increase the competitive advantages of DIVArchive. We are confident that our customers will appreciate the performance gains realized through our new product offering with Sun.”
