Front Porch Digital Finds Fast Success in Latin AmericaKey Sales of DIVArchive Systems Represent Rapid Growth in New MarketMay 9, 2006 BOULDER, Colo. — May 9, 2006 — Front Porch Digital (FPD), the Broadcast and Media Division of Incentra Solutions, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ICNS), has made substantial inroads into the Latin American broadcast market over the past year. The company has initiated joint sales efforts with new distributors in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, and Peru, as well as a Miami-based distributor serving Latin America and the Caribbean. Working through its partners, Front Porch has already closed two significant sales. DIVArchive will now be deployed for leading teleport company TIBA (Teleport International Buenos Aires) and to PUMA Television Venezuela, a new broadcaster based in Caracas. As a result of these relationships, Front Porch has established a strong base of business to support continued market development as digital migration continues in the region. “We have been seeding the Latin American market for the past several years, and now we are beginning to reap the benefits as the market begins to move,” said Glen Green, Front Porch Digital’s vice president of sales for the Americas. “Without question, the strong, global reputation of DIVArchive is a key advantage as we enter this market, especially with so many installations with major Spanish language broadcasters. Front Porch Digital has deployed DIVArchive for nine of Spain’s leading broadcasters, including one DIVArchive installation with more than a petabyte of content under management. For the past three years, DIVArchive has managed one of the largest broadcast archives in Mexico, and Front Porch has also deployed DIVArchive for a Portuguese broadcaster. These relevant references, and the excellent representation of our products through our new channel partners, will serve us well as the market grows.”
The rapid acceptance of Front Porch Digital’s archive management solutions in Latin America has been sped by the company’s new relationships with in-country systems integrators and resellers: ADLine in Brazil, Hercasa in Venezuela, VideoElec in Colombia, and AQB in Argentina. All have signed on with Front Porch in the past six months.
The company’s first installation, for TIBA in Buenos Aires, is scheduled to go live in June. With the help of AQB, the multichannel playout facility is integrating its new Front Porch Digital DIVArchive system, along with Leitch video servers and a StorageTek tape library, to support a digital transmission workflow. At PUMA, which recently launched broadcasts across Venezuela, Hercasa is providing a DIVArchive system that will work alongside an Avid newsroom editing system and StorageTek tape library.
“The inevitable migration toward digital broadcast workflow is only just beginning in Latin America, and we are committed to serving the growing needs of customers within this region,” said Front Porch Digital President Mike Knaisch. “To accomplish this goal, we can draw upon a depth of experience earned through deploying DIVArchive in over 120 installations in more than 40 countries. We look forward to working closely with our new partners on the new opportunities that appear on the horizon.”
